Electricité de France Visits CIAE
On November 8, a delegation led by Bertrand, Director of the Director, Strategy Direction, Strategic Studies & Processes of Strategy Department of Electricité de France (EDF), visited the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) for exchange and discussion on various topics including decommissioning management. Bai Yunsheng, President of the Strategic Planning Research Institute of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), accompanied the delegation for investigation. Li Penghui, Chief Engineer of CIAE, received the delegation.
At the meeting, Li Penghui introduced CIAE as well as the historical origins of its cooperation with its French counterparts. He expressed the desire to deepen mutual understanding and foster increased technical exchanges and cooperation through this visit.
Bertrand highly praised CIAE for its technological capabilities and comprehensive disciplinary structure. He introduced EDF’s experience and technological cases in decommissioning management. Furthermore, he expressed the desire for deeper technological exchanges with CIAE in the future.
