A Visit by Director of IAEA First Department of Nuclear Safeguards to CIAE
On October 16, Mohamed Ramari, director of the Division of Operation A, Department of Safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), along with his delegation, visited the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) for an exchange visit. The guests were warmly received by Chen Dongfeng, chief expert of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC).
In 2006, China Atomic Energy Authority (CAEA) and IAEA, in collaboration with CIAE, co-established a joint training center on nuclear safeguards and nuclear security. The center has emerged as an important platform for nuclear facilities in countries in the Asia-Pacific region to carry out technical exchanges on nuclear material accounting and control, physical protection, and nuclear security culture in the field of nuclear safeguards.
