CEFR Re-synchronized to the Grid

China Experimental Fast Reactor (CEFR) was re-synchronized to the North China Grid with a power of 3800kW at 3:37, October 10, 2015, and began to generate electricity for a second time.

After 144 hours’ pilot operation at full power since December 30, 2014, CEFR started-up on October 1, 2015, and reached 22%Pn on the second day and maintained stable operation during the National Day of China (October 1 to 7 each year). Operators of CIAE began to elevate the power of CEFR on October 9, and they succeeded in synchronizing CEFR to the grid in the morning of October 10.

Following the synchronization, researchers of CIAE will conduct related tests and researches according to preset plans.
