From December 8 to 12, 2008 the Ninth Sino-Russia Fast Reactor Coordination Meeting was held which was co-presided by LUO Changsen, Chairman of the Chinese side of the meeting and director of International Cooperation Department, CNNC and Mr. Ванюков, Chairman of the Russia side and director of the Innovation and Technological Policy Department, Atom EnergoProm of Russia (AEP). Twelve representatives from Russia National Atomic Energy Group and AEP and twelve chinese representatives from CNNC, CIAE and China Nuclear Energy Industry Corporation (CNEIC) attended the meeting.

 

At the meeting, the two sides reported respectively information of the 12^th conference of the Sino-Russia subcommittee on nuclear issues, condition of the Russia BN-800 construction, the China experimental fast reactor engineering construction progress, enforcement of the memorandum of the eighth fast reactor coordination meeting, as well as enforcement of the Sino-Russia fast reactor cooperation contract. Besides, the two sides discussed on problems emerged in installation and commissioning of the supplied equipment, cooperative plan of 2009, Russia commissioning Consulting organization and the issue of fuel procurement for China experimental fast reactor.   Memorandum of the Ninth Sino-Russia fast reactor coordination meeting was signed.
